    Lincoln Park Man Dies after being Shot on I-75

    TAYLOR, MI – On Saturday March 23rd, 2019, at approximately 3:30 AM, MSP 911 was notified of a freeway shooting on I-75 near the Rouge bridge.

    They received only one call and the only information was one of the vehicles was a silver or white Chrysler 300. The caller was just a witness.

    At approximately 3:55 AM, MSP was contacted by Dearborn Police that they had a gunshot victim at Oakwood Hospital. The victim later died at the hospital. Police were told the shooting occurred while two vehicles were traveling down the freeway.

    Troopers from the Metro South Post and Special Investigation Detectives shut down Southbound I-75 at Livernois at 5:30 AM attempting to locate the possible location of the shooting and for evidence preservation.

    As of 10:00AM, I-75 was searched by troopers and canine units from Livernois to Schaefer, no evidence was located. Special Investigation detectives are continuing to work this incident.

    The victim in this incident has been identified as a 28-year-old man from Lincoln Park.
