DETROIT — DTE Energy says the remaining 10,000 customers who are without power will see service restored by the end of the day Wednesday. In a news release sent this morning, the company says it has restored service to 83 percent of customers who lost power due to winter storms in the area over the last three days.
The majority of those customers still in the dark are located in eastern Wayne County, according to the company outage map. Approximately 60,000 customers lost power due to the storms which included freezing rain, strong winds and snow.
More than 1,000 workers have been deployed to restore power and work on downed lines throughout the state.
Consumers Energy has completed the vast majority of its restoration efforts as the company is reporting more than 99 percent of its customers have power as of Wednesday morning.
